Over the world 20-plus million nurses are performing their duties in tough and hazardous conditions. The pandemic situation has revealed the weakness of many healthcare systems and immediate action must be taken to strengthened existing global deficit. COVID-19 is forcing nurses to work under great physical and psychological strain, in situations where a deficiency of proper equipment is increasing the fear and causing emotional stress among them.
All over the world the public have taken initiative to express their gratitude for nurses. When the virus took away all the hope from our life then the nurses showed us what is most important for us all “life, people and those we love”.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has realised the value of nurses and other healthcare workers. So, immediate action must be taken to strengthen the health care systems in each and every country to combat this deadly menace.
