Reviewer guidelines

Peer Review Process

IJEISSAH provides a double-blind process, in which authors are unaware of the reviewers' identities and vice versa. The manuscript will be blindly checked by 2 specialists (internal editor and external reviewer) after approved by the Journal Cheif-editor.

To Reviewers and Editors:

As an editor or reviewer, you are expected to investigate the originality of the manuscript you are being asked to examine. As a result, reviewers should check out the Author Guidelines to find out the requirements that authors should include before submitting their works for publication. Reviewers' judgements should be objective. Reviewers should have no conflicts of interest with the study, the authors, or the research sponsors, and they should state important previously published work that has not yet been referenced.

Editors have a complete authority to accept or reject the submitted manuscript, there should not be any conflict of interest in relation to acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. Manuscripts that are certain to be original and error and plagiarism free should be accepted; they should encourage the authors to make the needed corrections when errors are discovered, and they should guard the anonymity of reviewers.

Review Guidelines

IJEISSAH highly appreciates their kind support by agreeing to review an article for our journal. Three weeks is given to review. Before they consent to evaluate any manuscript, the reviewers are requested to consider a number of points:

  1. If the manuscript is not in your area of research interest and expertise, please inform the editor and feel free to refuse to review it.
  2. If you have no free time to evaluate the manuscript before the deadline, kindly inform the editor.
  3. In case of any conflicts of interest for example if by any chance you have read the manuscript before or happen to know the authors, please inform the editor about this.
  4. IJEISSAH editor(s)-in-chief, previewed and checked the originality of the submitted manuscripts using the turn-it-in software before sending them to reviewers. However, if you doubt the originality or suspect the accuracy or truth of any part(s) of the work under review, please inform the editor.
  5. IJEISSAH reviewers are requested to evaluate the manuscripts based on a number of evaluative criteria available in the review form including the originality, topic suitability and value, quality, and significance of the works.
  6. Reviewers can make comments both on the text and on the review form. These remarks are extremely beneficial to any author's professional development and will undoubtedly aid them in improving their work.
  7. Reviewers may also add their additional comments in the last section of the Review Form. Having reviewed the manuscript , the reviewer is requested to make any of the below decisions. The merits and demerits of the work under review should be considered in making this decision.
    • Accept as it is
    • Accept with minor corrections
    • Accept with major corrections (Revise and resubmit)
    • Reject

IJEISSAH publications are checked, and reviewers are asked to rectify or identify any linguistic problems or typos before the final production.

IJEISSAH communicates with its reviewers solely via email, therefore please follow the instructions in the email to accept/rejcet reviewing the manuscripts and to submit your review form and any in-text comments, if any.
