MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Abstract
efore looking ahead, I would like to offer a word of thanks to our readers, our contributors, and our editorial board for their support towards the journal in our mission to improve the quality of care for Nursing. Nursing is an everlasting expression of care. We, in Malaysian Journal of Nursing strive to bring the best in health care, nursing profession, focusing to publish the highest quality of research on quality, safety, systems, and outcomes of nursing in the present scenario. The present issue deals with diverse themes ranging from educational guidelines of nurses to nursing staff perception, experiences of nurses in various critical situations. A nurse plays a pivotal role in health care system and has a crucial role to play in not only health promotion but also diseases prevention and treatment. So, Nurses from round the globe are collaborating with World heath organizations to bring forth the best possible services to those in need. They are developing new models for community-based care to promote wellbeing of the community as a whole. Nursing as a profession is no more bounded in the limited arena of health institutes like hospitals, health care centers etc. but are working together in communities and localities to make the world a better place to live in. MJN, thus strives to be a vehicle that drives the transformations that are setting in. The journal attempts to reshape thinking on important concepts and altogether open a new horizon in the world of nursing. The Malaysian Journal of Nursing thus explores the social, educational and psychological aspects of human behavior as related to Nursing and health care. It also aims to advance knowledge and keep its readers advanced, informed and a step ahead.
