• Hjh. Fathilah Binti Hj. Abdul Wahab Director of Nursing Nursing Division, Ministry of Health, Malaysia

This singular moment of launching your maiden issue marks a historical milestone in professional nursing, especially in Malaysia. Our society keeps on developing.Clients we used to call patients, being the major stakeholder in the healthcare industry, make the health care delivery components more and more proficient competent, and competitive.

In order to be abreast with the professional challenges, nurses have to equip themselves with the necessary updates on Knowledge, Skills and Attitude needed to serve the clients. The presence of groups and societies supplying tools for professional updates is really of high value and importance in our profession.

The Malaysian Journal of Nursing will surely be a tool in updating professional nurses in current issues. It will surely be a great adjunct in education delivery. Finally, it will surely be a very fine portal in connecting more with nurses worldwide.

I am proud of the people behind the successful publishing of this first issue and I am taking this opportunity to congratulate them.
