Abstract

Anxiety is common problem in patients with mechanical ventilation. Anxiety is also difficult to assess, because patients cannot talk, sensation of dyspnea, immobility, and some of the patients is running low of consciousness. Anxiety in patients with mechanical ven-tilated patients can impact the physiological responses and psychological responses. Anxiety can increases the sympathetic nervous system, influence the regulation system of body vital sign, fear, and feeling lonely. Nurse need to know the anxiety perspective and anxiety assessment to give the accuracy nursing intervention.
