Abstract

The publication of a nursing journal covers, not only the consideration of the writers and their input, but also the consideration of the readers and their needs. Input of research and its evidence; innovations developed for patients and other such writings move the profession forward. Such works are not complete until the findings are communicated to others and a journal is the ideal window for this to happen. A journal ought to encourage all to promote their work through their writings for the readers, especially for a nursing student or others in the field of health care. So, the nurses in this manner have a duty to seek the right path. Thus The Malaysian Journal of Nursing is poised for continual growth and progress for a bright and vibrant future. The articles published in this issue cover a broad range of topics related to the nursing profession that tries to explore the knowledge of nurses, to enhance their professional know-how and to help to strengthen the bond with their colleagues, patients and other professionals in the field. Since nursing education is concerned with the responsibility of preparing nurses to work in a continuously developing environment The Malaysian Journal of Nursing assists the nurses in this endeavor through articles in this issue that discuss the influence of multimedia, job satisfaction, traditional beliefs, simulation methods and nurse patient relationships.
