Abstract

The medical industry is developing at a rapid pace due to the presence of superior equipments, high quality tools and remedial opportunities. Presence of all these amenities helps the nurses to enhance the procedure of nursing care. But the basic criterion to become an efficient nurse is to develop a skillful diagnostic ability to help evaluate the patient condition. Moreover the nurse should be an avid listener so that the patients can feel a compassionate hand upon them. The usage of the modem technologies along with excellent correspondence and appraisal abilities, expression of empathy by offering secured and capable disposition can give raise an astounding quality of service by a competent nurse. So nursing education should be formulated in such a way so that it can train students to treat patients in a manner which welcomed by both the ailing individual and his family. So we can see that nurses are the most important individual regarding treatment of patients and their retrieval. Thus to become an accomplished and proficient nurse one must gain thorough knowledge in this particular field. To become a qualified professional, it is significant that a nurse must gain both medical and industrial management skills. In such a way the nurses will sense a feeling of satisfaction due to the patients' reliance on them incessantly. Thus a nurse should be aware ofhis capabilities and knowledge before plunging into this unique profession of medical care. Presenting eminent services will certainly build sound professionals and will provide an opportunity to acquire further advocacy. In the present issue the journal tries to analyze the factors associated with job satisfaction among nurses and problems of breastfeeding in work place among nursing mother. The journal also contain article to influence the family to get involved in the care ofhospitalized child. It deals with delicate issues like maternal mortality, stress management and recovery in bipolar 1 disorder. Lastly a commentary is included to help the nursing students in Malaysia. In this way the Malaysian Journal ofNursing is trying to lend a hand to human kind in every sphere oflife.
