DRESSING TROLLEYS IN THE HEALTHCARECENTERS: APERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Dressing  trolley is the oldest type in use in medical field and a main component in managing patients but the least recognized. Although it is practical to move the trolleys to different patients rooms and other places in the hospital where it is needed. Some potential disadvantages are the dressing trolleys increase the chances of spreading infection between patients rooms,creating a noise due to its movement, very big trolleys are unable to accommodate all the instruments and gadgets needed by physicians and nurses in the dressing. The concerned health authorities need to improve the trolley and increase its effectiveness by incorporating a heating source in the trolley,by adding new items to the trolleys, by checking  periodically. Nursing administration in the healthcare centers should to be sure that trolleys are always  clean,  fully  supplied,  and well organized.
