Abstract

After fasting from dawn to dusk for a month, Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a day that signifies victory for Muslims everywhere. On this special day, Muslims attend morning prayers in mosques and visit the cemeteries of their loved ones. They dress up in their traditional garb and celebrate with their friends and family in this joyous occasion, feasting on numerous tasty treats. However, in the nursing profession the faith can be challenged every day as we are often called to demarcate our spirituality from our profession. We all know that Nursing as profession is not new to Islam. Nursing in Islam is a healthcare service related to caring of patient, individual, family and community which is a demonstration of love for Allah and the Prophet Muhammad. In fact, it is attributive to compassion and responsibility towards the person in need.  fter fasting from dawn to dusk for a month, Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a day that signifies victory for So it can be said that nursing is spiritual by nature. It is God's work. As mature nursing professionals, we must respect all religion and overcome faith-based differences among our patients as well as our peers. As nurses we must commence and promote safe healing care environment. The caregiver-patient partnership is built on mutual trust, respect and communication to provide physical and emotional safety to meet the exclusive needs of each patient and their families. If anyone asks me the definition of Nurse, I will say that Nursing includes a range of specialties and definitions that vary from country to country. The nurse directs the incessant improvement of quality, safety and value of health care by understanding the essence of good care. They attempt to achieve the finest possible quality of life for their patients, regardless of disease or disability and also use clinical judgment to protect, promote and improve health, prevent illness and injury, ease suffering and promote health care. Thus the journal ventures qualitative findings to promote qualitative research for evidence-based nursing practice in this manner.
