The healthcare system must promote a transformative approach to building economies that support health and well-being for all. The Malaysian Journal of Nursing (MJN) emphasized that achieving an economy of health for all requires sustained and strategic investment in the health workforce. Nurses to bring hope and healing and protect populations. Sufficient, well-supported, and empowered nurses, who play a vital role in keeping populations healthy, are essential for achieving universal health coverage and health equity. Nurses today need to believe in, demonstrate, project, and trust everything that strengthens it, accompanies it, defends it, and gives it visibility within health systems. The voice and presence must be firmly consolidated to face adversity and intervene in a timely manner in favor of safe, humane, and inclusive care. MJN thus represents and promotes the integral well-being of nurses around the world to advance nursing leadership, professional development, safe and quality care, and the well-being of nurses.
Nurses continue to provide lifesaving care despite working under extremely challenging conditions, including responding to, recovering from, and rebuilding after conflicts and crises. Nurses save and improve lives every day, and their impact is strongest when they are adequately supported and empowered. In this issue, MJN emphasizes the structural changes needed to strengthen the nursing workforce and enhance person-centered primary care to address major global health challenges.
